Creatures of Eonil – Creatures of Ghor – Creatures of Quintra and Denday
In many ways believed to be the Oakhai’s counterparts it is known the orcs were created by Denday. These dark often green or brown skinned more feral beings to this day live in tribes or as nomads. Same as with the Oakhai there aren’t enough of them left today to have their own large settlements.
Orcs are big and muscular, built for survival and hunting. It was long believed they were evil and they were being hunted down. But when the age of darkness ended the now Xaverion order has made a peace treaty with the Orcs. Though you will not see many orcs in the city some might venture there for trade, offering the finest pelts and animal meat in exchange for things they are interested in.
Orcs live in tribes and though generally at peace with the other tribes there have been blood feuds between orc tribes from time to time. Orcs are still seen as savage and many Xaverion citizens will avoid them and the territory they are known to roam.
An orc tribe or clan will often choose a specific patron. This more often than not is a predator animal. Orcs have very close ties to certain animals that they train and breed to use as mounts. Commonly you will see them ride direwolfs, sabretooth tigers or prolynxusses. It is said that an orc chooses their animal companion for life.
Though this is never confirmed there is a theory that suggests Orcs are of mixed blood same as the Ee’dornil and Oakhai. Contrary to the other races however they do not seem to possess any animalistic features apart from their behaviour.
What most citizens of the Xaverion islands do not realise is that Orcs aren’t actually as savage as they think. Honor is held in very high regards amongst the Orcs. Most of what Orcs do is driven by honor. It is deeply embedded into their culture and their way of life.
